The Queensboro Symphony Orchestra is dedicated to bringing vibrant and inspiring symphonic music at the highest level of artistic expression to a broad and diverse audience, as well as contributing to the benefit of the local and global community.
The Queensboro Symphony Orchestra is rapidly emerging as one of the most exciting ensembles in New York’s classical music scene, and was only founded in March of 2015. Their first half-season was spectacularly successful, with each of 3 concerts attracting a large audience averaging about 400 people enthralled by the intensity of this energetic and vibrant orchestra, whose visionary conductor Dong-hyun Kim lifted the inspired musicians to the highest level of music-making. They performed monumental masterworks of the symphonic repertoire such as Tchaikovsky’s 5th symphony, Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, Handel’s Royal Fireworks Music and concertos featuring instrumentalists from within the orchestra. This unique orchestra is attracting a great deal of attention in Queens and the New York City region as demonstrated by various feature articles, glowing reviews and a growing fan base, all pointing towards a very promising future that they hope you’ll be a part of.
