2019 Queensboro Symphony Orchestra Concerts!!

11/3/19: Mozart Meets Jazz!
Mozart Meets Jazz comes to Mary’s Nativity Church on Sunday November 3rd at 7:30pm as The Paul Joseph Quartet will face off against the Queensboro Symphony Orchestra in a battle royale of musical genres!

The Queensboro Symphony Orchestra presents an innovative program as classical orchestra meets contemporary jazz quartet in unique arrangements of Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" ("A Little Night Music”), Bach's “Air on the G String” and Pachelbel's Canon.

Jazz vs. Classical! ..... Paul Joseph Quartet vs. Queensboro Symphony Orchestra! ..... David vs. Goliath!

Will the visiting Paul Joseph Quartet, greatly outnumbered, be able to go into an unfamiliar arena and stand up to the mighty Queensboro Symphony Orchestra who are playing on their home turf?

The Queensboro Symphony Orchestra’s maestro Dong-Hyun Kim comes armed with baton in hand and brilliant scores, so the Paul Joseph Quartet has to bring in some heavy artillery and new arrangements of their own.

Who will prevail? ..... Come and decide for yourself!

Also on the program will be Alessandro Marcello's Oboe Concerto in D Minor, featuring Oboist, Sophia JungYoon Lee, and Bela Bartok's Romanian Folk Dances.

Maestro Dong-Hyun Kim will lead the orchestra. No tickets are necessary but a free-will offering will graciously be accepted.
